Letovo is a new private nonprofit boarding school for gifted and talented children from all over Russia. This unique educational model has the infrastructure in place allowing students to access a world-class education.
The school offers multiple opportunities for studying in various subject areas and provides for flexible individual educational plans according to the students’ talents. Students have the opportunity to study in depth a new area: humanities and social sciences, natural sciences or advanced mathematics.
Letovo places a great emphasis on the extracurricular development of the students. The school offers 250 different clubs, courses and interest groups in 5 program areas: Sports & Health, Science & Cognition, Citizenship & Society, Leadership & Cooperation.
The success of this educational model is evident by the students’ creative and sports achievements as well as by their results at all-Russian and international Olympiads where these first Letovo students proved their worth.
The admission process to Letovo School consists of several stages and encompasses a number of different aspects: not only the candidate’s current academic standing is taken into account, but their interests, passions, achievements and self-motivation. Adopting the world’s best practices, in particular, the need-blind admission system, Letovo gives the opportunity to receive scholarships to those students who have successfully passed the admissions process and have been admitted to the school.
Letovo is a philanthropic project, not a for-profit school. To ensure the sustainable development of the school, the biggest scholarship fund in Russia amounting to $100 mln was established, and later it became open for public donations.
