Letovo Staying Connected
24 March 2020
On March 13, our students went home for the holidays. We were sure we would see each other in a week, however, the things happening now in the world call for an even more sensitive approach to caring for both ourselves and those around us, as well as a greater degree of caution and awareness. Therefore, in-person teaching and reunions at Letovo have been postponed for a little while. But while these may be extremely testing times, we believe the new circumstances actually present us with a compelling challenge — albeit a difficult one – to which we aim to rise. The School will continue to operate, and we intend to use distance learning to its full advantage, something which we will certainly tell you about in detail, sharing our findings and ideas. And most importantly, we will continue to keep you in the loop, exchanging news and impressions, supporting one other, sharing knowledge and emotions. Exciting events are taking place right now: for example, our Department of Physical Education and tenth-graders Nikita Panfilov and Nikita Dolgopolov have launched the #distancetrainingchallenge and invited all Letovo students to join in. Here is what this challenge is about: “It’s simple: post videos of yourself working out or training with the hashtags #distancetrainingchallenge and #letovosportteam on Instagram or VKontakte. After the distance learning is over, we will choose the two most original and resourceful athletes, while the third winning entry will be selected by a random number generator. NB! For safety reasons, we recommend you do not exercise in the gym. Please exercise at home or by yourself in an outdoor space at a safe distance from others.” This way dear friends, together we and Letovo can stay connected!
