Having successfully passed the IB authorization process, Letovo School has received the right to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).
The IB Diploma Programme is an educational programme for the students of Grades 10 and 11 which is world-renowned for its breadth and rigor and is recognized by all major universities throughout the world. It includes 6 subjects and 3 core elements: the extended essay (EE), theory of knowledge (TOK) and creativity, activity, service (CAS). Students choose a total of six subjects: 3 to study at standard level (SL) and 3 to study in more depth at higher level (HL).
The class of 2021 will start this educational programme in the academic year beginning in September 2019. Final exams will take place in May 2021, during the second academic year of the IB DP programme. More information about the International Baccalaureate Programmes can be found at https://www.ibo.org/, specifics on the Diploma Programme are available at https://www.ibo.org/programmes/diploma-programme.
This is auspicious news for the school, its staff, students and their parents. We believe that the IB Diploma Programme will enable Letovo students to achieve the high goals that they have set for themselves.
